From Protothema: The Turkish Coast Guard stopped two boats reportedly heading for Greek islands in the eastern Aegean.
A total of 199 refugees and migrants were found on board.
The vessels were detained near the coast of Izmir province. One of the boats was a yacht with an Italian flag and is believed to have been sailing toward the Greek island of Chios.
The Turkish Coast Guard said that 157 were from Pakistan, 37 from Syria, three from Sri Lanka and two from Iran. Among those found on the boats, there were 175 men, eight women and 16 children.
Two Turks found on board the vessels were arrested and charged with people smuggling.
